Public Access To Records

The Borough of Hollidaysburg is committed to transparency and public access to records in accordance with Pennsylvania’s Right-to-Know Law. The Borough’s Open Records Policy and Open Records Fee are provided for reference and detail the procedures and fees associated with Right-to-Know requests.

Submitting Right-To-Know Request

Requests for public records must be submitted using the PA Standard Right-to-Know Request Form. This form should be completed and submitted in accordance with state requirements.

Filing An Appeal

If a Right-To-Know request is denied or deemed denied, the requester may file an appeal with the Pennsylvania Office of Open Records. Appeals must be filed within 15 business days of the denial or deemed denial date and must include:

  • A Copy of The Original Request
  • The Agency’s Denial (If One Was Issued)
  • A Statement Addressing The Grounds on Which The Request Was Denied

An appeals officer will review the appeal and determine whether the requested record(s) are subject to public access.
