Although even one crime is one too many, Hollidaysburg remains one of the safest communities in Blair County. The Department goal is to continue the trend in an inclusive and transparent manner. Since 2008, the Hollidaysburg Police Department has had in-car cameras. In 2019, plans for officer worn cameras will be implemented. These efforts have led to very low serious injury crashes over the past few years. With hard work, the Department has earned the AAA Platinum Award year after year. Furthermore, with five schools in the Borough, safety of the pupils is taken seriously by maintaining a close, day-to-day relationship with each of those schools.
